This course is for people who work or want to work as laboratory assistants or laboratory attendants in the food, chemical, manufacturing, construction materials, biological/environmental or pathology industry sectors. You will acquire skills associated with the operation of a laboratory and associated technical tasks such as sampling and testing.

Career Opportunities: Laboratory assistant or laboratory attendant.

Articulation: When you finish this course you may be eligible to do the PML40104 Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, TAFE course no: 17377 or one of the PML50104 Diplomas of Laboratory Technology specialising in Pathology Testing, Biological/Environmental Testing, Biotechnology, Food Testing or Chemical and Forensic Testing.

Entry Requirements: NSW School Certificate (or equivalent).
