This course is for people in rural industries with no expertise but who wish to develop basic technical and husbandry skills in the production horticulture industry. It also provides the underpinning knowledge required to apply these skills in the workplace.
You will learn how to work effectively in the production horticulture industry as well as learning the basic technical skills that will allow you to be employed as a supervised worker in the industry.
This course is ideal for people wishing to enter the production horticulture industry.
Career Opportunities: Worker on properties or enterprises engaged in pome and stone fruit production, berries, nuts, grapes, tobacco or vegetable production.
Articulation: When you finish this course you can apply for advanced standing in RTE31603 Certificate III in Production Horticulture, TAFE course no: 1994.
