This course is for people in the production horticulture industry with some expertise who wish to develop advanced technical and production skills in the production horticulture industry. It also provides the underpinning knowledge required to apply these skills in the workplace.

You will learn how to organise and co-ordinate procedures in the production horticulture industry as well as learning technical skills that a senior worker on a production horticulture is expected to possess.

This course is ideal for people wishing to enter the production horticulture industry.

Career Opportunities: Supervised worker on properties or enterprises engaged in pome and stone fruit production, berries, nuts, grapes, tobacco or vegetable production.

Articulation: When you finish this course you can apply for advanced standing in the RTE40503 Certificate IV in Production Horticulture, TAFE course no: 1995.

Entry Requirements: NSW School Certificate (or equivalent statement from another educational authority) and relevant experience, or completion of RTE31603 Certificate II in Production Horticulture or equivalent, or relevant workplace or other appropriate experience.
