This course is for people who work, or want to work, at management level in natural resource management, especially in an outdoors environment. The course includes competencies required by a wide range of sectors within the conservation and land management industry, including the natural area  restoration, weed management, vertebrate pest management, conservation earthworks, lands, parks & wildlife, community coordination and facilitation, and indigenous land management sectors. At this stage the course does not meet any licensing or registration requirements.

Career Opportunities: Manager in land management for local government, National Parks and Wildlife, other State government agencies, bush regeneration organisations, Landcare and other environmental organisations. Employment options may depend on whether a particular stream of specialisation is taken.

Articulation: Depending on modules selected, there may be some articulation into the RTD60102 Advanced Diploma of Conservation and Land Management.

Entry Requirements: Completion of Year 12 with a minimum of 10 units in the NSW Higher School Certificate Record of Achievement (or equivalent statement from another educational authority) OR Completion of RTD40102 Certificate IV in Conservation and Land Management (general and specialised streams) OR Applications will be considered from people who do not satisfy these entry requirements but have relevant workplace or other appropriate experience.
