This course is for people employed in the forest industries.
You will learn how to use and maintain a chainsaw safely. You learn how to select and maintain a chainsaw and how to crosscut fallen timber safely.
On completing this course you will meet the training requirements for an operator's licence to use chainsaws in Level 1 forest harvesting operations in NSW State Forests.
Career Opportunities: Forestry chainsaw operator.
Entry Requirements: There are no formal entry requirements for this course. Completion of a First Aid Certificate that complies with the requirements of NSW WorkCover recommended. Must have a high level of physical fitness and manual skill.
