This course is for people who want to develop proficiency in the skills required to work in an aquaculture enterprise.

You will acquire the practical skills required by a supervisor, technical manager or specialist supervisor, and the underpinning knowledge required to apply those skills in a variety of aquaculture specific workplace situations.

When you finish this course you will be able to perform the duties of a supervisor, technical manager or specialist supervisor. You will be able to work with stock in an aquaculture enterprise as well as apply food handling procedures, meet occupational health and safety requirements, communicate effectively and supervise staff implementing a range of work procedures within an aquaculture environment.

Career Opportunities: Aquaculture enterprise leading hand or supervisor.

Articulation: When you finish this course you can apply for advanced standing in the SFI50104 Diploma of Seafood Industry (Aquaculture), TAFE course no: 6594.

Entry Requirements: NSW School Certificate or equivalent.
