Statement of Attainment in Horse Industry Studies (Performance Horse)

This course is designed for people who work in, or want to work in, the performance horse industry. You will learn how to make decisions within a predictable range of tasks and work with a wide range of horses, including those that are flighty and/or of high economic value. You will work mostly in and around horse stables, on studs and will have some exposure to competition events. By completing this course, you will be able to carry out a range of duties including handling, feeding, grooming and caring for performance horses as well attending competition events.

Career Opportunities: Senior horse grooms, stable foreman or stud hand working in the performance horse industry.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for entry to modules in Group 1. NSW School Certificate (or equivalent) is required for entry to modules in Group 2.
