This course is designed for horse grooms working under supervision in the performance horse industry.

You will learn how to make decisions within a predictable range of tasks and work with a wide range of horses, including those that are flighty and/or of high economic value. You will work mostly in and around horse stables, on studs and will have some exposure to competition events. By completing this course, you will be able to carry out a range of duties under supervision including handling, feeding, grooming and caring for performance horses as well attending competition events.

Articulation: When you finish this course you can apply for advanced standing in the 91189NSW Certificate III in Horse Industry Practice (Performance Horse), TAFE course no: 7280.
