This course is for senior horse grooms, stable foremen and stud hands working under limited supervision in the performance horse industry.

You will learn how to work in stables, studs and places of competition where you would be able to handle all performance horses except breeding stallions. You will also learn how to exercise and prepare horses for competition and cover horse care essentials. By completing the course, you will be able to carry out a range of duties under supervision including handling, feeding, grooming and caring for performance horses as well attending competition events.

Entry Requirements: NSW School Certificate (or equivalent).

1.3 Life and community experience (20%)

2. Demonstrated need and motivation to undertake the course and relevance of the course to career plans and/or personal goals
2.1 Relevance of the course to career plans or personal goals (15%)
2.2 Knowledge of the relevant industry and relationship of the course to potential employment (15%)

3. Further evidence to support the application (10%)
