This course is for people in the beef industry with some expertise who want to develop advanced technical and husbandry skills. It also provides the underpinning knowledge required to apply these skills in the workplace.
You will learn how to organise and coordinate the procedures employees in the beef industry must carry out and will acquire the technical skills that a senior employee on a beef enterprise should have. You will also be able to apply occupational health, safe working practices and quality assurance practices to industry standards.
This course is also suitable for owners of beef operations who want to enhance their technical knowledge and skills. It is also suitable for people with some livestock expertise who wish to enter the beef industry.

Articulation: When you finish this course you may be able to apply for advanced standing in RTE40103 Certificate IV in Agriculture, TAFE course no: 2483 and RTE40103 Certificate IV Agriculture (Beef Production), TAFE course no: 0801.
Entry Requirements: NSW School Certificate (or equivalent statement from another educational authority) and relevant experience, or completion of RTE20103 Certificate II in Agriculture (Beef Production), or equivalent, or relevant workplace or other appropriate experience.
