Duration: 2 days or 1 day for refresher course.
This course will show you how to use chemicals in accordance with legislation, and how to use powered application equipment to ensure that chemicals are applied at the label rate.
You will learn about the records you must keep when using agricultural chemicals and the importance of being able to interpret chemical labels.
You will also learn how to transport, store, apply and dispose of agricultural chemicals in ways which are safe for your own health, which minimise the levels of chemicals in food and fibre products, and which reduce the risk of environmental contamination.

Entry Requirements: Learners must have language, literacy and numeracy skills that enable them to satisfy elements of competence and legislative requirements for reading and understanding chemical labels and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

Applying and Enrolling
This course will be offered commercially on a fee-for-service basis. Course commencement is subject to sufficient demand and usually runs at most locations continuously throughout the year.
