This course is for people who want to work as hairdressers in a hairdressing salon. You will learn how to cut, shave, colour, chemically reform and style your client's hair. You will also learn about client communication and service which includes discussing the needs of your client and styling according to their requirements. When you finish this course and the on-the-job training you will be able to work as a qualified senior hairdresser.

Career Opportunities: Hairdresser, salon supervisor, salon owner or manager.

Articulation: You can apply for advanced standing for some of the units of competency in this course if you have done WRH20106 Certificate II in Hairdressing TAFE NSW Course no 17362. When you finish this course you could consider doing other post-trade hairdressing courses at TAFE NSW.
