In this course you will acquire the skills required to work in a beauty salon. You will learn about skin and body treatments, manicures and pedicare, massage treatments and cosmetics. You will also learn about how a beauty salon runs, how to improve your communication and key competencies and about ethics and codes of professional behaviour. People considering enrolment in beauty courses need to be aware that skills development for clinical work will require students to practise on each other and that industry dress codes will apply. This will necessarily involve touch but will always be practised and applied in accordance with industry codes of practice and ethics. Details will be provided to intending students during pre-enrolment information sessions or to enrolled students by the teacher.

Career Opportunities: Beauty therapist.

Articulation: When you finish this course you can get advanced standing in other WRB04 Beauty Training Package qualifications, such as the Diploma of Beauty Therapy.
