This course is for people who want to work as a manager in the hospitality industry. You will learn how to plan and control a range of hospitality products, control stock, promote goods and services to customers, maintain premises and outlets, maintain business compliance within legislative requirements, develop and manage financial budgets and develop operational plans.
You will also learn how to lead, supervise and manage a team of people.
Career Opportunities: Restaurant manager, kitchen manager, front office manager, motel manager, catering manager.
Articulation: Learners who successfully complete this program are able to articulate with and receive credits for relevant units of competency from other qualifications in SIT07 Tourism, Hospitality and Events Training Package.
When you finish this course you can gain articulation into SIT60307 Advanced Diploma of Hospitality, TAFE NSW course no: 18116.
Entry Requirements: NSW Higher School Certificate (or equivalent).
The NSW Liquor and Gaming Regulation requires students to be 18 years of age or older if they are undertaking units that involve the service of alcohol and/or gaming operations. To comply with these legislative requirements, students must be 18 years of age or older to undertake the following units in this course:

International Students require an overall score of 6 IELTS (International Language Testing System) or successful completion of the Certificate in English for TAFE available through TAFE English Language Centre to qualify for entry plus Mathematics equivalent to HSC Mathematics.

Requirements to receive qualification: To receive SIT50307 Diploma of Hospitality, TAFE NSW course no: 18115 you must complete all twenty three (23) units from Group 1 and sixteen (16) elective units.

Port Macquarie: Full-time, 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday, 9.00 am to 3.00 pm for 36 weeks with 2 Friday classes from 9.00 am to 3.30 pm for RCG & Hygiene for 18 weeks. RSA will also be offered to those students who don't already have it.
