This course is for people who wish to work in the areas of sales, marketing, management, and administration in various types of pharmacy and general retail stores at a senior level. This course builds on TAFE course number WRP30102 Certificate III in Community Pharmacy).

Depending on the electives available/chosen you will learn about areas covered in TAFE course number 3396 to a more advanced level, managing pharmacy staff, controlling internal and external audits, planning and coordinating assessments, and marketing and promoting pharmacy products and services. This learning will take place by a combination of strategies that include practical activities, industry case studies, role plays, simulations, operating both individually and in teams, and projects. This course is currently being reviewed and accordingly maybe replaced by a new course.

Career Opportunities: Senior positions in sales, marketing, management and administration in a range of pharmacy and general retail stores.

Articulation: When you finish this course you will be eligible to do a number of TAFE NSW courses, such as WRR40102 Certificate IV in Retail Management, TAFE course no: 9941 and WRR50102 Diploma of Retail Management, TAFE course no: 9942.

Entry Requirements: NSW Higher School Certificate (or equivalent statement from another educational authority), or competencies equivalent to the Certificate III in Community Pharmacy or equivalent competencies.
