Statement of Attainment in Hotel Licensees

Qualification: Statement of Attainment(AQF)

This course is for people intending to apply for a Hoteliers Licence. It is a requirement of the Department of Gaming and Racing that all prospective Hotel Licensees complete this course. You will learn the legal requirements relevant to licensed premises including Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gambling. You will also discuss other topics including financial management,staffing, stock control, safety, security and marketing.

Career Opportunities: Manager or owner of a licenced premises.

Articulation: When you finish this course, you can apply to do Hospitality Operations Certificate II, 9542 with advanced standing.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for this course. Must be eligible to hold a liquor, restaurant or night club licence. The NSW Liquor Act and the NSW Gaming Machines Act require students to be 18 years of age or older if they are undertaking modules that involve the service of alcohol and gaming operations. To comply with these legislative requirements, students must be 18 years of age or older to undertake the following modules in this course: 6650A Responsible Service of Alcohol 4515A Responsible Conduct of Gambling MUST PRODUCE PHOTOGRAPHIC IDENTIFICATION AT TIME OF ENROLMENT (eg photo driver's licence). Recognition of Prior Learning for 4515A or 6650A need to be from a Liquor Administration Board approved provider.
