The course is for managers who want to learn how to develop strategies to allocate resources, manage the work performance of staff, co-ordinate the work of teams, and obtain information from a variety of sources. You choose from electives which include merchandising, managing financial resources, managing human resources, controlling store security/loss and managing inventory, and managing store facilities. This course should combine learning in the classroom with learning in the workplace.

Career Opportunities: Retail manager, operations manager, merchandise manager, retail buyer and sales manager.

Articulation: When you finish this course you can apply to do the Diploma of Retail Management (WRR50102).

Entry Requirements: Satisfactory completion of Year 12 with a minimum of 10 HSC units (or equivalent statement from another educational authority); or competencies equivalent to the WRR30102 Certificate III in Retail Supervision or WRR30202 Certificate III in Retail Operations.
