Equine Online
Study at your own pace, in your own place, and achieve valuable horse industry qualifications
Equine online offers you the opportunity to learn more about horses and the horse industry, or to gain recognition for skills you already have, without the inconvenience of attending regular classes at a TAFE campus. Fit study into your life, rather than the other way around!!
Flexibility is important in this industry. Early starts, long days, and a 24/7 commitment to our horses makes regular classroom attendance nearly impossible for most people. With access to a computer and internet connection, Equine Online can overcome the barriers to learning that you may have encountered in the past.
Flexible training options:
Our highly experienced staff and guest lecturers provide training in a range of areas, including stable management, breeding, health, nutrition, riding and training. Practical workshops allow you to develop your skills in a safe, supported environment. Many workshops are not compulsory, so you need only attend those that are relevant to your needs. 1
Flexible assessment options:
Equine Online conducts assessment of practical skills in a simulated workplace environment here at the Taree campus. If you have existing skills, or work in the industry, then we will come to you and assess you at your place. 2
Flexible course options:
Equine Online allows you to complete a range of courses, or to make up your own selected study program. Courses range from Certificate I (pre-industry introductory level), through to a Diploma of Horse Industry Management. Or if you would prefer, you can enrol in a Statement of Attainment program and pick and choose units that suit your needs – eg. horse training, health etc.
