Future Students
Thank you for considering the North Coast Institute for your career and learning needs.
The North Coast Institute is a Registered Training Organisation and a leading education and training institution on the beautiful north coast of New South Wales. We enrol nearly 40,000 students each year and have been recognised not only by the Institute of Trade Skills Excellence as a high-perfoming provider nationally, but also by other national and state bodies. For example, in both 2004 and 2005 the North Coast Institute was judged the best large training provider in the state of New South Wales and in 2004 we received the award of Australian Large Training Provider of the Year and were shortlisted in the top three in Australia for this award again in 2005. For more information on the North Coast Institute, including the location of our campuses, click here.
We can provide you with a wide range of study programs, many delivered flexibly, which allow you to study on campus, by distance learning, online or a combination of these.
Special programs are available for Indigenous students, women and school students and many of our courses provide articulation into university study.
We can assist businesses by customising study programs to the needs of their staff. We also have a wide range of traineeship courses available.
We welcome International students and can provide a variety of courses including studying English at our English Language Centre.
We also have excellent student services that can assist and support you while you study.
All TAFE staff are covered by a Code of Conduct which, among other things, requires them "to treat students fairly, equitably and in accordance with current special needs students and equity programs, guidelines and relevant legislation and policies".
There are also a number of policies which may affect your study at the North Coast Institute. For further information on these policies, student rights and responsibilities, discipline and appeal process and other important student information, download our
Student Information Booklet 2008 (PDF, 754 KB).
