The
Dive Instructors course incorporates all the necessary
requirements to teach professional diving skills. Many students who have
been awarded their Instructors certificate from Blue Juice are now working
in the dive industry in exotic locations such as Heron Island, Orpheus
Island, Vanuatu and Spain.
If you undertake the Advanced Diploma in Hospitality/Tourism you have
the option to study the Dive Instructors program, offered
1 day per week for 2 years.

After you have completed the 4 certificate courses outlined below and
logged 100 dives you are now you are ready to embark on one of
the most prestigious accredited courses in the diving industry.
The Dive Instructors is a comprehensive course based on the international
standards of SDI (SCUBA Diving International) and the TDI (Technical Diving
International). You will learn from qualified trainers how to plan, conduct
and assess dive programs, how to deal with the differing needs of course
participants and how to instruct at a one-on-one level as well as small
groups on a variety of speciality dives. At this level you will experience
a huge sense of achievement considering you are now one of the industry’s
“elite” in one of the world’s fastest growing recreational
activities.
Having this qualification will provide many exciting opportunities
for employment in tourism.

| This certificate
is a 3 day beginner course where you will learn the basics of diving, first
in a pool then in open water. This course has a minimum of 4 open water
dives where you will demonstrate to the instructor that you are confident
with all the skills you mastered in the confined water training session.
On completion, you will be issued with your international certification
to dive worldwide to a depth of 18 metres. |

While
you are studying your internationally accredited dive program, you will
have the rewarding experience of diving in one of the most exotic locations
on the east coast of Australia – Cook Island (off Kingscliff, northern
NSW) This marine sanctuary is a unique part of the coast as the colder southern
currents mix with the warm tropical currents especially during the onset
of summer. The presence of the warm and cold currents is the reason for
the diversity of marine life. While diving in this area, it is not uncommon
to see 3 different species of turtle, the graceful Manta Ray and the gentle
Blue Groper – one of the many protected species on the east coast
of Australia.
Discover an exhilarating experience, diving through basalt caves,
viewing the soft coral gardens and swimming close to 3 metre Wobbegongs.
Cook Island offers an environment of natural beauty and exotic marine life.
