Winner – 2005 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year

Kerry is a committed contributor to the community, who has continued to volunteer time and effort to valuable causes while completing the Certificate IV in Community Services (Welfare) part time, submitting work of a very high standard and achieving a credit grade overall. A natural leader and willing listener, Kerry provided valuable support to others in the course.

Kerry has also been appointed as the North Coast Institute Ambassador for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

As the Ambassador, it is her responsibility to carry out advocacy, promotion and awareness-raising about the career pathways that are available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people on the North Coast, to promote the Many Rivers Regional Council Scholarships, and to be available to speak and present to the media and at key events for the Institute over the next 12 months.
