The Construction and Transport Faculty covers a range of courses including Building construction, bricklaying, plumbing, scaffolding, tiling, painting and decorating, signwriting, maritime and engine and vehicle maintenance.

Winner – 2005 Student Achievement Award In the Construction and Transport Faculty
After migrating to Australia as recently as 2001, Janos completed the Certificate III in General Construction (Carpentry – Framework/ Forming/Finishing) and with mathematical knowledge developed during a previous career, was able to assist and provide coaching to some of the younger members of the class who struggled with this aspect of the course.
Janos is now undertaking more Building Studies Residential modules through OTEN, with the aim of gaining a NSW Builders Licence, and eventually setting up a building company to design and build eco-friendly housing.
Janos has also been recognised by the Australian Institute of Building as the outstanding Carpentry Trade Graduate in the State for 2004.
