2008 Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year

Anthony Franks won the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year Award for his outstanding achievement during his studies in Certificate IV in Business Governance at North Coast TAFE's Lismore Campus in 2007.

According to the judges, Anthony distinguished himself by diligence, professionalism, exceptional leadership and communication skills as well as a clear desire to obtain as much as possible out of his course and apply it in his chosen employment.

He was also able to complete his studies while managing a busy family and work schedule as well as a number of community obligations.
