The awards are hosted and organised by the Australian National Training Authority (ANTA), and they “identify and reward training providers who are leading us to a high skill, high productivity future,” according to ANTA Chairman David Hind. “Australia’s key to keeping ahead of international competitors is world-class training providers who meet the skill needs of businesses and individuals. Providers like the North Coast Institute are breaking new ground in delivering quality training when, how and where business, students and the community want it,” said Mr Hind. The awards, which are supported by the Federal Department of Education, Science and Training, judge aspects like vocational education practice, client and market focus, contribution to enterprise and community development and strategy and planning processes. The Director of the North Coast Institute, Neil Black, said that he
was absolutely delighted to receive the award “on behalf of the
incredibly hard-working and passionate teachers and all other staff throughout
the Institute.” Mr Black said that the Institute had started a
few years back on a pathway to becoming Australia’s highest-performing
training provider, and that the award was recognition of the commitment
of our staff to high-quality customer service and continuous improvement. “We
are continually striving to become more learner-centred and responsive
to industry and community learning needs, and we’re confident that
we have the systems, processes and, most importantly, the culture in
place to achieve these goals.”
