North Coast Institute voted ‘best in the state’ two years in a row

Friday 9th September

TAFE NSW-North Coast Institute won the “Large Training Provider” award in the 2005 State Training Awards last night, following on from its win in 2004 and being short-listed in 2003.

The awards were announced at a special Dinner in the Ballroom of the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre with the Minister for Education and Training the Hon. Carmel Tebbutt, MLC in attendance.

Neil Black, Institute Director, said that being recognised consistently for excellence in delivering educational services in the state was an outstanding tribute to the long-term hard work and commitment of the teaching, administrative and support staff throughout the Institute.

“We set out some time ago to be a high-achieving registered training organisation, and the back-to-back recognition as NSW’s best large training provider confirms that we are well and truly on target,” said Mr. Black. “It has been a remarkable effort by our staff and I am proud to be part of such an extraordinary achievement.”

The Institute had been awarded with the Australian Large Training Provider of the Year in November 2004 following on from its State win last September.
