University scholarship to be presented to local student

Port Macquarie student Lisa Newman is being presented with the inaugural TAFE NSW/University of Newcastle Pathways Scholarship. Ms Newman is enrolled in the Bachelor of Nursing degree and completed her Certificate 3 and Certificate 4 in Aged Care at TAFE NSW, North Coast Institute. The presentation will commence at 11:00am on Thursday 14 July.

Ms Liz Bujack, the Deputy Head of Nursing and Midwifery for the University of Newcastle, and Greg Thompson, manager for Port Macquarie Campus will hand over the cheque to Ms Newman at a special morning tea ceremony at the Institute Office, Lower Ground Floor, G Block, Port Macquarie Campus.

There will be both photo opportunities and interview opportunities straight after the ceremony and media representatives are invited to stay for morning tea.
