The Terrace Restaurant at TAFE North Coast Institute’s Grafton Campus had a reason to celebrate last week.

Awarded as a finalist in the Restaurant and Catering NSW Regional Awards for Excellence 2005, in the Restaurant in a Training Institute category, the Terrace Restaurant at Grafton Campus can proudly claim to be “one of the best”.

Staff and students gathered last week for a celebratory afternoon tea for the presentation of the award and to toast the success and recognition of their facilities at Grafton Campus.

Head teacher Lyndel Bailey said “The award has much to do with our students and the quality of work they produce at the Terrace”.

“The Terrace Restaurant is a great place for students to gain that all important practical experience, and they can do that with the functions and lunches that are held here”, Lyndal added.
