TAFE takes part in Grafton gathering

Wednesday 11 October 2006

The 14th Annual NSW Women's Gathering will be held in Grafton from 20-22 October and women from all over NSW will come together for three days of meeting, networking, entertainment & workshops. TAFE NSW-North Coast Institute is supporting the Gathering, both as a sponsor and by providing its Grafton Campus facilities for workshops.

The NSW Women's Gathering is held each year in a different regional centre in NSW and has been going for 14 years. It usually combines workshops featuring key note speakers with local tours, lunches and dinners.

Wendy Bruszewski, Grafton Campus Manager has emphasised the significance of the event for the Clarence Valley community, saying that it is a unique opportunity to showcase the community’s extensive offerings in tourism, business and lifestyle.

“The commitment and generosity of the main sponsors and supporters are to be commended,” said Ms Bruszewski. “It’s appropriate that the NSW government has got involved through the Department of Primary Industry and the Department of Education and Training, because both are key community members in this region.”

TAFE NSW-North Coast Institute has made Grafton Campus available as a venue for workshops, one of which is Project Sprout, a multi-media workshop being conducted in the high-tech music and video production centre.
