This course develops knowledge, skills, techniques and appropriate attitudes necessary to carry out metal and engineering general tasks and processes, in a safe and efficient manner and to the prescribed standard of quality and finish.
Career Opportunities: Fitter, instrument maker, maintenance fitter, structural steel and welding supervisor, engineering draftsperson, engineer (automotive, fabrications, production, plastics, marine, mechanical).
Work Placement: Yes, as part of the course you will be required to complete work placement for a minimum of 35 hours for every 2 units of study.

What is this course about? What will students be doing?
This course is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to:
- construct, assemble, install, modify, repair and maintain machines
- assemble, make parts, equipment, machines, instruments and tools
- design machinery, parts, computer hardware and electronic circuits using 3D graphics and drafting skills
- manage clients and staff, oversee quotas and information, lead projects.
